How To Root Karbonn Smart A21

The Karbonn Smart A21 is a mid-range android smartphone, manufactured by the Karbonn Mobiles India. If you have bought the Karbonn smart A21 smartphone and want to try something new, you are advisable to root your phone.
Once you have rooted your phone you can install many apps and games which requires the root permission. Further, you can install the custom ROMs and can enjoy it’s features on your phone.

Note: This guide is only for windows users, so don’t try it on Mac or Linux.

Pre-requirements:

1.I always suggest everyone to take a full backup of your android phone, before try anything newly on the device. Because, you are going to take a risk. If anything goes wrong, and if you have backup then you will be on the safer side.
2.So, backup all your SMS, MMS and Call logs into your Gmail. To know how to do just follow our tutorial on “How to Backup the SMS, MMS and Call logs to Gmail”.
3.Note down the MMS Settings and APN settings of your phone either using backup application or manually by following the path “Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names ” since it is important when you start over again into that.
4.Copy the images, videos, songs and other stuffs onto your internal or external SD card or system.
5.Then check the battery percentage level of your phone and make sure it is not below 75%. If it is below then put the device in charge mode and get it upto 100%.
6.Next enable the USB debugging mode on your Karbonn smart A21 smartphone. Here is the tutorial to know how to enable the USB debugging mode.

Procedure to Install Karbonn A 21 USB Driver:

1.First, download and install the Karbonn A21 USB driver from here.
2.Once you downloaded the file, extract it on your desktop.
3.Click the start option and open the Control Panel.
4.Look at the top right side in your control panel, you can see the option view by > select it > choose large icons.
5.In that choose the “device manager option”.
6.After that connect your phone to the computer using USB cable. There, you will find the yellow triangle with “!” or “?” sign. Click on it and select the Install driver option.
7.Now, browse to the desktop and select the extracted driver folder from there. Then click OK button.
8.The driver installation process will begin; wait until it get finished.
9.Once you got the driver installed message on your computer, restart the same instantly.

Procedure to root Karbonn smart A21:

1.Once your computer has restarted, download the Bin4ry rooting tool and extract the same on your desktop.
2.After that connect your phone to the computer and wait until the driver stabilize.
3.Next double click the “Runme.bat file” (having two gear logo on it).
4.A black command prompt window will get opened. Type 1 and hit enter option.
5.After that follow the on-screen instructions, upto 3-4 times it might ask you to “hit any key to continue”, so do it.
6.Please be informed that your smartphone will reboot 3-times while rooting, first two times it will reboot to transfer some file to your computer and while third time it will reboot to finish the rooting process. So don’t get irritated, be patient.
That’s it! Now, your phone has been rooted and you can install any custom ROMs, apps and games on your phone.
